What are the different fees charged by the Recorder's Office?
The Recorder's Office has many different fees. Some of the fees are set by the County and some are set by the State. Click here for a listing of all fees.
How do I make an appointment?
It's easy! Click on Appointments in the banner on your left and then click on the image. It will bring up a box for you to make your appointment with us. No waiting in line! Internet Explorer will not work with this application.
How do I know what to bring when applying for a Real Id or Enhanced ID/Driver's License?
Upon making your appointment online you will receive a text from us with a link to a site explaining each license and what you need to present. This same information can be found by clicking on the Driver's License banner to the left.
Why should I pre-apply for my driver's license or id?
It will save you time when you visit our office. You will not have to complete a form upon your arrival.
How do I obtain a MN Driver's Manual? Or a Commercial Driver's License Manual?
Where do I get tabs or a car title?

How do obtain my birth certificate from another state?
You'll have to contact the state in which you were born. Check out the CDC link for further information.
