Drivers License

You may renew your driver's license at the Recorder's office, by appointment, at the Courthouse in Windom between 8:00 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Knowledge tests are available  at DVS exam stations. You need an appointment for the Class D written testing, all other test are first come first serve.  To schedule the appointment go to drive.mn.gov or call 1-651-284-1000.

Knowledge tests  are available at the Windom Public Library,  904 4th Ave,  by APPOINTMENT ONLY call 507-831-6131.

Road tests are also only available at DVS exam stations.  Appointments are made online, you may make an appointment at drive.mn.gov or call 1-651-284-1000.

CDL Holders: Federal Regulations require all states to review a proof of citizenship or lawful permanent residency document. Visit the DVS website at https://dps.mn.gov or call 507-831-1458 for examples of acceptable documentation. You also must complete a CDL Self-Certification form and provide a valid medical examiner's certificate if applicable. Additional information is available on the DVS website.
