Donna was born and raised in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, until her family moved to Jeffers when she was 13 years old. Donna attended school in Storden-Jeffers until she graduated in 1972. Donna worked for 30 years with the Minnesota Department of Transportation before retiring in 2014. Donna enjoys spending time with family, playing pool, and auctioneering. Donna is married to Larry and has four children, son, Danny (Kali) Quade, daughter, Jenny Quade, and two step-daughters, Wendy Gravley and Amy (Mark) Brabham.

Donna serves on the following committees: ACE of Southwestern Minnesota, AMC Voting Delegate, Cottonwood County Ditch Authority, Des Moines Valley Health & Human Services, Explore Southwest MN, Red Rock Rural Water, Southern Minnesota Tourism, SW Regional Development Commission, United Community Action Partnership, and Wellness Committee.  She also serves as an alternate for the Family Services Collaborative Board and Prime West.
