Cottonwood County is seeking to appoint a qualified candidate to serve the remainder of the Auditor/Treasurer term ending January 2023. Please see job description below.
Salary Range: Wage dependent on qualifications with minimum of $73,902.40
Reasonable qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and six years of recent financial business experience, including three of the most recent as a senior supervisor involving accounting practices, procedures and office management or combination of education and experience. A major or concentration in accounting or a CPA designation is preferred. Possession of a valid State of Minnesota driver's license is required.

Solid Waste Technician
This position, under general supervision, performs various work activities in support of the County's Solid Waste Management Program. This individual will assist in the operation and overseeing of the landfill facility, including equipment, buildings and surrounding areas. See complete job description below.
Salary Range: $18.04 per hour or dependent on qualifications.
Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of experience in solid waste operations or any equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Possession of a valid State Minnesota Class D driver's license. After hire, will be required to obtain MPCA landfill operator certification, MPCA household hazardous waste licensure, and MnDOT certification to transport household hazardous waste materials as well as the ability to obtain any other required licenses.

Public Works Seasonal
The Cottonwood County Public Works Department is hiring seasonal summer workers that will be assigned to work in the county parks or the highway maintenance crew or both. Hours for the positions will be approximately 30 to 40 hours per week and may include evening, weekend and holiday hours. These positions will start in May and end in August/September.
A high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license are required for all positions. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
