A Setback Building Permit Is Required For:

• Any new Construction 
• Any addition to existing structure which adds to the outside dimensions 
• Moving a structure on to a new location 
• Portable sheds and Grain bins

 A Setback Permit is good until specified building is built according to said dimensions and cost.

Setback Permit Fees (Fees double if paid post-construction)

• Cost of Construction ($0 - $1,000)  $10.00
• Cost of Construction ($1,001 - $25,000)  $20.00
• Cost of Construction ($25,001 - $100,000)  $35.00
• Cost of Construction ($100,001+)  $50.00

Other Fees

• CUP and Variance $450.00
• Rezoning $300.00
• Feedlot - Construction Short Forms $75.00
• Feedlot – Expansion Permits $50.00
• Septic Permit $150.00
• County Recorder Fee $46.00

Minimum setback required

• Front yard setback: 65 feet
• Side yard setback: 10 feet
• Back yard setback: 10 feet
