On Wednesday, 9/30, crews completed resurfacing County Road 52 South of Jeffers and will complete resurfacing work on County Roads 52 and 53 near Jeffers today, weather permitting.

On Friday, 10/2, (or possibly late this afternoon), crews plan to resurface County Road 53 near Double Lake and also perform some pavement patching on County Road 22 between Highway 71 and County Road 13.  If weather permits,  this will conclude all 2020 Pavement Resurfacing Projects.

Work is set to begin early Monday morning on County Road 13 (River Road) around 7:15 a.m.  Work will include milling up 4" of old pavement and replacing it with 4" of new pavement from the Perkin's Creek Bridge west to the junction of County Road 15 (Truck Route).  This work will be done under traffic with lane closures using flaggers and a pilot car.  Motorists can expect delays up to 10 minutes and are advised to use an alternate route.

Work will then continue on County Road 26 on the east side of Windom from County Road 17 to US Highway 71. Work on this segment of roadway will include milling up 2" of old pavement and replacing it with 2" of new pavement.  This work will also be done under traffic with lane closures using flaggers and a pilot car.  Motorists can also expect short delays and are advised to use an alternate route.

Finally, work will finish up on County Road 52 and 53 near Jeffers and Double Lake. These roadways will receive some patching and then an overlay of 1.5" of new pavement. This work will also be done under traffic with lane closures using flaggers and a pilot car.  Motorists can also expect short delays and are advised to use an alternate route.

Roadway resurfacing work on all roadway segments is expected to be complete in 1-2 weeks with each roadway segment taking about 2-3 days to complete, weather dependent.

Please remember to slow down and pay extra attention when driving through work zones to ensure the safety of construction crew members, motorists, and pedestrians.
