Norman was born and
raised in Cottonwood County. He graduated from Comfrey High School and
attended Northwestern College in Roseville, MN. Since college he has
farmed the land his father and grandfather farmed just south of Comfrey.
Norm is a certified Minnesota Assessor, part-time bus driver, and has
served on a local co-op board. In his spare time he enjoys camping, water
sports, singing, and volleyball. He and his wife Corrine have four
children, Bethany, Abigail, Jordan, and Brennan.
Norman serves on the
following committees: Brown-Nicollet-Cottonwood County Joint Powers
Board of Directors; Cottonwood County Ditch Authority; Family Service
Agency Labor-Management Committee; Intergovernmental Relations Board;
Juvenile Screening; Labor-Management Committee; MN Extension Agency
Board of Directors; MN Noxious Weeds Appeals
Board; Redwood-Cottonwood Rivers Control Agency; and Tri-County Children
Day Treatment. He also serves as an alternate for the Area II River Basin
Project; Greater Blue Earth River Basin Alliance; Red Rock Rural Water; and the 37 County MN River Basin Projects.
