Gary was born and raised in Cottonwood County.  He graduated from Storden-Jeffers High School in 1983.  After graduation he attended Willmar AVTI (1984-1985) while enrolled in the Farm Production and Management Program.  He has lived and farmed near Storden ever since.  When Gary is not busy with his duties as a County Commissioner, he enjoys working part-time with Monsanto training and supporting Asgrow-Dekalb dealers with their computer software.  Gary is married to Becky and together they have two children: Leslie and Dawson.  In Gary’s spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, computers, golf and gardening.
