Sorting Recycling Guide
Aluminum Cans: Can be
crushed/uncrushed, but clean and dry.
Glass: Brown, Green and
Clear will be accepted. All glass must be rinsed clean, separated
by color, and have all covers/lids removed. Place blue or tinted
glass in with the green glass. Not Acceptable: broken glass,
mixed color glass, ceramics, dishes and drinking glasses.
Newspaper: Bagged or
bundled, clean and dry. Not acceptable: Wet paper and books.
Catalogs: Bagged or
bundled, clean and dry. Not acceptable: Wet Catalogs
Magazines: Bagged or
bundled, clean and dry. Not acceptable: Wet Magazines.
Cardboard: Only corrugated
cardboard is accepted. Flatten and/or bundle. Not acceptable:
Cereal boxes, pop boxes, etc.
Plastic: Only the
following plastic can be taken: #1 PETE which are beverage
containers and #2 HDPE which are milk/water jugs, laundry
detergent, and shampoo bottles. Not Acceptable: Oil/antifreeze
jugs, plastic bags, styrofoam, TV dinner trays, toys, and
cover/lids in or on any bottles.
Tin Cans: Clean, dry, and
remove any labels, can be crushed.
Office paper: Bagged or
bundled. Includes junk mail, envelopes, etc.
